51 people have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to Lancashire Constabulary’s South Division at the Divisional Commander’s Commendations Ceremony.
Police officers, police staff and detectives were among those honoured at the event, which was held on Tuesday 23rd January, at Lancashire Constabulary Headquarters in Hutton.
Award-winners from across the division, which covers Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire, were recognised for their bravery and outstanding efforts.
Chief Superintendent and Divisional Commander, Stasia Osiowy said: “I am really proud of all our officers and staff across the division.
“The work they carry out every day to keep our communities safe is vital to the success of Lancashire Constabulary.
“However, there are occasions when people go above and beyond, and these awards give us the chance to recognise some of the amazing work that has been undertaken across South Division in the last year.
“The people who have been recognised this year have all shown their personal commitment and dedication to keeping communities across South Lancashire safe through exceptional work. They are a credit to the Constabulary.”
Those in attendance were recognised for their excellent work safeguarding vulnerable people, brave and selfless actions to prevent serious injury to other colleagues and members of the public and for their investigative quality on cases.
