A drug dealer from Preston has been jailed after a routine stop and search found Class A drugs.
Whilst on patrol in Preston City Centre on the evening of Monday 2nd December, officers from Preston’s Task Force spotted a black Mercedes acting suspiciously on Blackpool Road, signalling for it to stop.
After a search of the car, cash, mobile phones, scales, snap bags and a quantity of Class A drugs were discovered and Scott Simpson was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
After being convicted of the charges at an earlier hearing, last week Simpson, 29, of Exeter Place, Preston was sentenced at 30 months in prison and was disqualified from driving for two years.
