We have arrested a man in connection with a number of burglaries in Preston.
We were called to Morris Crescent on 5th November following reports that a someone had entered a property and taken a lawnmower and a TV.
In a separate incident, on 19th December 2024, we were called to a house on Moorcroft Crescent after a man entered the property in the early hours of the morning by smashing a glass door whilst the occupants were asleep upstairs.
In this incident, cash and Christmas presents were stolen.
Following extensive enquiries by the South Residential Burglary Team, a 51 year old man from Preston was arrested this morning on suspicion of burglary in a dwelling and is currently in custody waiting to be questioned.
