Superintendent Scott Boast is the new Operations Manager for Preston with overall responsibility for Neighbourhood, Response and Response Investigations teams.
Superintendent Boast joined Lancashire Constabulary in 2004 as a Police Constable based on Response in Blackburn. Since then, he has worked all around East Lancashire on Response and Local Policing teams, working his way through the ranks.
In 2023, following a year based at Hutton Headquarters as Chief Inspector with a responsibility for anti-social behaviour, prevention and problem solving for the force, Superintendent Boast moved to South Division, taking on the role of Chief Inspector for Response Policing in Preston and then later for Response Policing in Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.
Speaking about his new role as Operations Manager for Preston, Superintendent Boast said: “I am really pleased to be returning to Preston and I am excited about building on the great work already underway with our communities and partners.
“My passion for policing is rooted in a belief that everything starts from speaking with and listening to local residents and ensuring that our policing activity is directly linked to tackling the issues which matter most to them.
“I would encourage all residents, if they haven’t already done so, to complete the Lancashire Talking survey and tell us about the issues concerning them about where they live so that we can direct our resources appropriately and ensure that Preston is a safe place for those to live and visit.”
