17 individuals have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to Lancashire Constabulary’s East Division at the Divisional Commanders Commendation ceremony.
Police officers, police staff, detectives and members of the public were among those honoured at the event, held on Wednesday 29th January 2025 at Blackburn Golf Club.
Award-winners from across the division, which covers Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, the Ribble Valley and Rossendale, were recognised for their bravery and exceptional efforts in serving the public.
Chief Superintendent and Divisional Commander, Steve Rides, said: “Our officers and staff continuously carry out fantastic work daily, keeping the communities of East Lancashire safe.
“There are occasions where individuals have gone above and beyond in their roles and make outstanding contributions to the division and this ceremony was an opportunity to recognise them when they do.
“The event was a fantastic chance for us to come together with families and friends to celebrate some of the incredible work that has taken place in the division over the past year.
“Those who received a commendation should be very proud of their achievements, showcasing their dedication, bravery and commitment to policing and its functions.
“I would personally like to say a huge congratulations to all those who received an award. They are all a credit to Lancashire Constabulary, and it is a privilege to be able to work alongside them each day. Well done!”
Those in attendance were recognised for their excellent work, safeguarding vulnerable people, outstanding leadership, contribution to community policing, achievements in the field of investigation and bravery.
