Morecambe man jailed for knife attack

David Brindle, 33, of Heysham Road, Morecambe, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court yesterday (Thursday, March 23) after pleading guilty to the attack.

Tac Ops arrest six for burglary, theft and driving offences | February 18, 2022

Man jailed for manslaughter | February 11, 2022
Mohammed Malik, 58, of Heights Road, Nelson, was today (Friday, Feb 11th) at Preston Crown Court jailed for a total of 13 years. He received 13 years for the manslaughter and 32 months concurrent for the wounding.

We are warning residents to be vigilant following a number of burglaries and attempted break-ins in Chorley, Charnock Richard and Appley Bridge. Officers have been called to five separate incidents in the past 24 hours which are all being treated as linked at this stage. Although no arrests have been made enquiries are ongoing and reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the areas affected.
