Man jailed 22 years for rape and sexual assault
Friday, May 30, 2025
This is Daniel Robinson, and he is a rapist.
Yesterday (29th May 2025) he was jailed for 22 years at Preston Crown Court.
In 2024 we received the report that Robinson had raped and sexually assaulted a woman in Euxton. He was arrested and, following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, charged with multiple offences.
Robinson (pictured below), 32, of no fixed address, was found guilty of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault.
In a short excerpt from her victim impact statement, the victim spoke of the effects Robinson’s crimes had: “It’s been such a long time since I felt happiness I just feel hurt and lost. I’m tired of being in survival mode daily just to get through each day.”
DS Gem Lashley of our Rape And Serious Sexual Offences team said: “Firstly, I want to commend the victim for the incredible resilience, strength and bravery she has shown in reporting this to us, and throughout the court process.
“Understandably, Robinson’s actions will have had a huge impact on her, but I hope she can now begin to move forward with her life knowing that Robinson has been brought to justice and is serving a significant custodial sentence for his crimes.
“Robinson’s crimes were abhorrent. When his victim told him to stop, he continued to rape her. He is a dangerous man, and I am pleased he has been brought to justice.
“If you have been a victim of any sexual offence, please come forward. We will listen to what you have to say, we will carry out a thorough investigation, and we will do all we can to put the person responsible before the courts.”
