Lancashire Police win Global Sustainability Award

Monday, June 2, 2025

Lancashire Police have been awarded for their sustainability efforts by being announced global winners of the Sustainability Driver category of the 2025 SS&C Blue Prism Customer Excellence Awards.

SS&C Blue Prism hold the awards annually to recognise ways organisations harness intelligent technology.

The award recognises the force ICT department’s use of intelligent technology to dramatically improve data quality, operational efficiency, and community safety. The initiative has already saved over £10.5 million, and simplified 3.2 million records to 48,000, enabling faster, more effective policing.

Lancashire Police’s Chief Operating Officer Gillian Routledge said: “This award is an incredible achievement, and illustrates our innovative ideas as a force.

“Policing is fast moving and projects like this save us years of manual data work. That time and money can now be re-invested into improving the service we provide to our communities and victims of crime in Lancashire.

“This global award win is a testament to the fantastic work of our ICT department to improve operational policing.

“I am hugely proud of our ICT department, often our unsung heroes.”
