We are appealing for information after a collision on the M6 motorway in which a man sadly died.

We were called at about 11pm yesterday following the collision between a pedestrian and an Audi Q7 travelling north between junctions 33 and 34 near Lancaster.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time. His next of kin have been informed.

The Audi driver was shocked but physically unhurt.

Sgt Bex Price, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision very sadly resulted in the death of a man and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time. I would appeal to anyone who has any information or footage such as dashcam or mobile to get in touch with us.”
