Continued appeal after man dies following Blackpool collision

On Tuesday, we told you about a fatal collision in Blackpool, and we are continuing to ask for your help.
We were called at around 7:55pm on Monday 10th February to a report that a vehicle had collided with a man on the pedestrian crossing at the junction of Mowbray Drive on Plymouth Road.
A man, believed to be in his 70s and from St Annes suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital, where he sadly died. Enquiries to formally identify him, and his Next of Kin are ongoing.
A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Following enquiries, he has since been released, and no further action will be taken against him.
DS Joseph Ghigi of the Serious Collison Investigation Unit said: “A man has very sadly died, and we are doing all we can to identify the vehicle involved, and that vehicle’s driver.
"We know that other drivers will have seen the pedestrian either before or after the collision. He is described as being in his 70s, of a slim build and wearing glasses. He was wearing a red and black jacket and blue trousers.
“If you were one of those people, or if you know who those people are, I would urge you to do the right thing and come forward.
“If you witnessed the collision, or the man in the moments before or after the collision, or if you have dashcam or CCTV of the Mowbray Drive area of Plymouth Road specifically the pedestrian crossing between 7:45pm and 8:05pm on Monday 10th February please get in touch."
