Appeal for dashcam of van after Poulton collision

Tuesday, February 18, 2025

You may remember us asking for your help after a van collided with two pedestrians on Breck Road in Poulton, and we have a new image to share with you.

We’re appealing for anyone who saw or has dashcam footage of the grey Ford Transit van, with a distinctive orange logo on, in the hours prior to the collision.

We believe the van (pictured) may have travelled to the Bloomfield and Talbot wards area of Blackpool and to the Breck Road area of Poulton. We are asking anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the van between 11pm on Saturday 15th, and 1am on Sunday 16th to come forward.

As a reminder: We were called at 12:50am on Sunday (16th February) to a report of a collision between a Ford Transit van and the two pedestrians on Breck Road.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries for treatment.

Three men: two from Great Eccleston aged 32 and 23, and one, aged 24 from Blackpool were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been bailed whilst our enquiries continue.

This is being treated as an isolated incident, and there is no wider threat to the public.

DCI Fiona Jackson, of West CID said: “Our investigation is very much ongoing, and I am reaching out to you, the public, for your help.

“We believe the grey van travelled to the Blackpool area in the hours prior to the collision and are asking for anyone who may have been travelling a similar route to check their dashcams, or if you have CCTV footage, to check that too.

“If you do have any footage, or any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it to be, please do the responsible thing and get in touch with us.”
