Appeal after teenager dies in collision

We are appealing for information after a man died following a collision in Morecambe.
Emergency services were called at just after 3am today (Sunday, April 20th) following the collision between a pedestrian and an HGV on the A623 Bay Gateway, between Mellishaw Lane and Northgate.
The pedestrian, an 18-year-old man from Morecambe, suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
Sgt Paul McCurrie, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has very sadly resulted in the death of a young man and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones. I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
