Investigation continues into serious collision

We are continuing to investigate a collision which has left a woman fighting for her life in hospital.
And we are today asking for your help as we continue to piece together what happened and to find those responsible.
The collision happened on Station Road close to the junction with Longbrook Avenue and Fourfields in Bamber Bridge at shortly before 8pm on Sunday, September 29th
The victim, a woman in her 30s from Bamber Bridge, was on the pedestrian crossing when she was struck by a car travelling north.
She was left with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The car, a dark grey Toyota Prius, did not stop at the scene and efforts are ongoing to trace the vehicle.
Two boys aged 16 and 17 from Bamber Bridge have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody. And yesterday we also arrested a 53-year-old man as part of our investigation. He is also in custody.
We are grateful to everyone who has come forward with information so far and we would now like to appeal specifically to anyone who has any dashcam, CCTV, mobile or Ring doorbell footage from Station Road from between 7.40 and 7.55pm on Sunday.
We also still want to speak to anyone who saw the car before or after the collision or anyone with information about who was in the car or the whereabouts of the vehicle, registration FY62 MXC.
Detective Chief Inspector Jill Riley, of the Force Major Investigation Team, said: “A woman remains very poorly in hospital as a result of this collision, and I would ask anyone who has any footage which could assist or who has any information about the car or who may have been driving, to get in touch with us
“I have a team of officers and staff making enquiries to try and establish exactly what has happened and to find those responsible.”
