Man jailed after high-value burglary in Burscough

We want to tell you about an arrest and conviction, resulting in a sentencing last week, in relation to a burglary in Burscough.

On Tuesday 10th December, Ellis Brown, 28, of no fixed abode (pictured below left) was sentenced to 40 months in prison for Burglary.

We received a report of a burglary at the Tesco store on Station Approach, Burscough shortly before 1am on 11th September 2024.

Around £25,000 in cash was stolen, and significant damage was caused to the premises.

Ellis Brown was later identified, and arrested on suspicion of, and later charged with Burglary.  

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Preston Crown Court.

We’re still making attempts to locate Lee Brown, pictured below right, who we would like to speak to in connection with our investigation.
