Most prize draws and competitions are genuine. However, some are run by criminals looking for your money or personal details.
They may continue to contact you with excuses for more money, pretending you are getting closer to receiving your prize… but it never arrives.

- Used more cheque books than usual?
- Become more secretive about money?
- Met up with family or friends less often?
- Also received letters from clairvoyants or psychics predicting a big win?
