The police do not deal with benefit fraud, the Benefits Agency prosecute their own cases – all benefit fraud should be reported directly to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

Alternatively, you can call the National Benefit Fraud Hotline on 0800 854 440 - lines are open between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

There is a textphone service available on 0800 328 0512.
