We’re looking for young artists to design Christmas e-cards for the Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner.
Budding designers in reception to year six Primary School age groups in Lancashire can enter to be in with a chance of being chosen personally by Chief Constable, Sacha Hatchett or Police and Crime Commissioner, Clive Grunshaw as the design for their christmas e-cards.
This year’s theme is ‘Bobbies on a Bauble’ and designs must include a policing element on our template of a Christmas bauble. This could include a police officer, dogs, cars, horses or police symbols like the crest, checkered pattern or thin blue line.
You can take part as a student in a Lancashire school or you can enter as an individual who lives in Lancashire. Everyone has a chance to win, regardless of your age and ability. Be as creative, colourful and imaginative as you’d like – but all submissions must be hand drawn and within the lines of the template!
There will be 4 winners. The Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner will both pick a winner and a runner up design. Chief Constable, Sacha Hatchett’s e-card will be sent to 5,000 officers and staff as well as partner agencies and Police and Crime Commissioner, Clive Grunshaw’s will be sent to MPs and stakeholders across the county. A selection of baubles will be printed out and put on our Christmas tree in the reception at Hutton HQ.
All finalists will receive an arts and crafts goodie bag, a certificate and will be invited to an evening at Hutton HQ where they will receive their prize, meet the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner and will experience exclusive inputs from some of our operational teams. The two designs chosen to be on cards will also win a £150 book voucher for their school.
All entries must be received via email to [email protected] by the closing date of Sunday 24th November by 23:59. Sadly, any entries received after the closing date/time will not be counted.
Twenty shortlisted entries will be put to the public vote via Instagram stories on Wednesday 4th December. The chosen 10 from this vote will be presented to the Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner to choose the winners.
