Operation Vanquish has been launched by Lancashire Police as a new proactive policing operation designed to crack down on crime, taking the fight to the criminals.
As part of the operation there will be an increase in police activity in our local communities where officers will be swooping on specific areas of the county in a bid to tackle crime and associated anti-social behaviour in the area.
After the success of our first week as part of Operation Vanquish, where we are cracking down on crime and taking the fight to the criminals, we are moving the focus onto tackling inquisitive crimes – burglary, robbery and auto crime in Lancashire.
As part of the operation there will be an increase in police activity in our local communities where officers will be patrolling areas of the county in a bid to tackle crime and associated anti-social behaviour in the area.
The second phase of the of the operation began this week (w/c 24th January) with officers out in the county visiting known addresses and associates of those suspected of these crimes. This includes officers undertaking a week of targeted activity focusing on identifying, targeting and arresting outstanding wanted offenders throughout Lancashire.
This is all part of our efforts in tackling the issues of most concern to our local communities and taking the fight directly to crime’s door. We are committed to listening to your concerns and to addressing the issues identified to us that will make a difference to your daily lives.
You are our greatest resource in helping us to fight crime and the information our communities provide is essential for us to take appropriate action.
Let us know what your concerns are by submitting them via community engagement tool, Lancashire Talking. You can do it online by visiting http://www.stayintheknow.co.uk/LancashireTalking.
We would like to encourage members of the community to sign up to our local messaging system In The Know https://www.stayintheknow.co.uk/, where they will receive updates from their Neighbourhood Policing Team about the action taken based on their feedback.
You can also contact independent charity Crimestoppers for free and in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
Operation Vanquish will leave no place for offenders to hide in Lancashire.
