Two men, aged 20 and 36 and both from Skelmersdale, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday have since been released on bail until October 6th.
The arrests came after we were called at around 9.30pm on Sunday (September 6th) to reports a gunshot had been heard in the Ennerdale area.
Emergency services attended and a man, aged in his 20s, was found at a nearby address with a wound to his leg which is believed to have come from a shotgun.
He was taken to hospital for treatment. Thankfully at this time his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
