Officers investigating a collision in Blackpool have traced a vehicle that is believed to have been involved.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Friday (September 4th) when a pedestrian crossing Talbot Road at the junction with Devonshire Road was hit by a Ford C Max, which then made off from the area.
The pedestrian, a 34-year-old local man, suffered a head injury, along with a broken foot and is in a stable condition.
A 21-year-old man believed to be the driver was arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving whilst unfit through drink and/or drugs. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
