Man jailed for sexual touching

A MAN has been jailed after sexually assaulting a teenager and filming it on his mobile phone.

Craig Wilsdon, 33, preyed on the 19-year-old while she lay unconscious in the bedroom of an address in Thornton Cleveleys.

Wilsdon, of Penrith Avenue, Thornton, admitted three counts of sexual touching on February 3rd 2018.

He appeared at Preston Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday, March 17th) and was sentenced to five and a half years, reduced to fours years and one month.

He will have to sign the Sex Offenders Register for an indefinite period.

Detective Constable Dave Thomas, of West Police, said: “Wilsdon preyed on a vulnerable victim for his own sexual gratification, an offence made all the more sinister by the fact that he has filmed the assault on his mobile phone.

“The last two years have been a terrible ordeal for the victim who, quite apart from having to try to come to terms with the assault itself, must have been terrified that the footage may have been shared more widely.

“It is some consolation that Wilsdon has at least admitted his guilt and satisfying to see that the gravity of the offence is reflected in this custodial sentence.”
