POLICE are appealing for information after a firearms discharge in Accrington.
We were called at shortly after 11pm to reports of gun shots on Avenue Parade in the town.
Patrols attended and found a white BMW with damage consistent with a shotgun discharge.
Luckily noone was injured.
An investigation is now underway and police are appealing for information.
Inspector Steve Rides, of Accrington Police, said: “While we believe this was a targeted incident we are treating it extremely seriously as it is only a matter of good fortune that no-one was seriously hurt. I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information to get in touch.
