A man was seriously injured after a collision in Bacup in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday, November 11th).
It happened at around 2:30am as a Mercedes G63 travelling along Newchurch Road in the direction of Waterfoot has failed to travel round a slight bend and has come off the road, falling down a verge and landing on its roof.
The driver – a 39-year-old man from Bacup – suffered serious injuries. The passenger – a 30-year-old woman from Radcliffe – was also injured. They both remain in Royal Preston Hospital.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses. Sgt Dave Hurst said: “If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, or you have any dash cam footage, please make contact with us.”
