A MAN has been charged with the robbery of a pensioner in Blackpool.
Jack Slaven, 26, of Talbot Road in the town is accused of one count of robbery, one count of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.
He is due to appear before Blackpool Magistrate’s Court today (Monday, May 13th)
Detectives launched an investigation after the robbery of a 77-year-old woman as she waited for a taxi on Talbot Road at about 9.30pm on Thursday (May 9th) During the struggle the victim fell to the ground and suffered injuries. The offender made off with the bag.
