Friday, July 26, 2019

Do you recognise the cyclist in this image (below)? We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted whilst waiting in traffic in Morecambe.

It happened at around 12:50pm on Marine Road Central on Saturday 13 July when the 54-year-old victim, who was sat in the passenger seat of a convertible car, was approached by a man on a bicycle.

He was subjected to some homophobic abuse and then punched in the face.

The victim has then got out of the car to be punched again to the face by the same person.

PC Louise Ducklin from Morecambe Police said: “This was an utterly appalling unprovoked attack on a man which has left him with a fractured nose and unconscious.

“If you think you know who the person in the picture is or you think you witnessed the incident, please get in contact with us.”
