POLICE looking for a woman who has been missing from home for five weeks have found a body.
Kirsty Moyles, 47, was last seen leaving her home in Cow Hill, Haighton, on a blue mountain bike, on Friday April 6th.
Following extensive searches, a woman’s body was found last night (Sunday) in a wooded area of Wolf Fell, in the Trough of Bowland.
Formal identification is yet to take place but sadly the body is thought to be Kirsty.
Sgt James Hesketh, of Lancashire Constabulary’s South Division, said: “Our thoughts remain with Kirsty’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
“Kirsty’s family have been notified and a file has been passed to the coroner.
"We would like to thank everyone who has helped to look for Kirsty, or shared our appeals.”
The death is not being treated as suspicious and Kirsty's family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
