Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Blackburn which left a woman with serious injuries.
The incident happened at 6.50pm yesterday (Friday, December 28th) when a pedestrian crossing Preston New Road was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus travelling towards the town centre.
The pedestrian, a woman aged 50, suffered serious multiple injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital where she remains poorly.
The road was closed for two hours for accident investigation.
Sgt Oliver Jones, of East Tac Ops, said: “This collision has left a woman with some very serious injuries and I would appeal for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to come forward and contact us.”
