Appeal after man injured in collision

WE are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 90s suffered serious injuries in a collision on Albany Rd, Lytham St Annes.

At 11am yesterday morning (Wednesday 25th April), the man was crossing the road on his mobility scooter when he was in collision with a red Vauxhall Corsa.

He suffered serious injuries to his leg and pelvis and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Sgt Rob Prescott, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We are trying to establish what happened and would ask anyone who was in Albany Road at around 11am and saw the Vauxhall Corsa or mobility scooter to get in touch. Likewise, if you drove along Albany Road between 10:30am and 11:15am and have any dash-cam footage, please in touch.”
