We are appealing for information after a seven year old boy was injured in a collision in Preston.
The incident happened at around 4pm yesterday (Sunday, July 16th) on Queens Street near to Tile Mart. As the boy was crossing the road, he has collided with a grey Toyota Corolla and suffered a serious head injury.
He was taken by air ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital but was later transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision. Sgt Malcolm Bell from the Road Policing Unit said: “I wish the boy well and hope he makes a full recovery in hospital where he is currently being looked after.
“I would ask any witnesses to come forward as they could assist with our investigation.”
Part of Queen Street between the junction of Grimshaw Street and London Road was closed for around two hours whilst officers conducted enquiries.
