Appeal after serious RTC in Burnley

We are appealing for information following a two car collision in Burnley in which both drivers suffered serious injuries.

At 3pm on Sunday December 17 a BMW travelling down Colne Road crossed into the opposite carriageway and collided with a Toyota Auris.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services attended the scene and rescued the female driver of the Toyota from her vehicle.

Both drivers, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s were taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary suffering neck and back injuries.

The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and remained shut until 7.40pm.
