WE are appealing for information after a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Great Harwood.
The incident happened at shortly after 1am today (Sunday, August 27th) when a 53 year old woman was crossing Queen Street in Great Harwood near to the Walmsley pub and was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa travelling towards Clayton le Moors.
The woman, from Great Harwood, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital suffering from a head injury, however her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Sgt Oliver Jones, of the Road Policing Unit, said: â€œThis collision has left a woman with serious injuries and I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself or the Vauxhall Corsa in the moments beforehand to get in touch.â€
