I’m not sure who was driving at the time of the alleged offence?

As the recipient of this request you are required to provide any information that may lead to the identification of the driver; failure to do so may result in a prosecution where you will be summonsed for the offence of ‘failing to furnish’ (S172 Road Traffic Act 1988). If you are found guilty you are likely to receive a significantly higher penalty than the original alleged offence along with court costs.

(If there is insufficient space in Section B of the s172 form please use a separate sheet and return it with the signed S172 form.)

Please also visit the public access system which will allow you to view the photographs of the alleged offence using the pin number located on the 1st page of your NIP/S172 request for information, reminder or conditional offer letter.
