Operation Forget-Me-Not helping find missing people with dementia
Operation Forget-Me-Not is a joint enterprise between Lancashire Police and the Alzheimer's Society to help find people who may be living with dementia and who are reported missing.
In the event that your friend or relative is reported as missing it is important that the police have the correct information to guide our search for them. In order to find someone living with dementia we may require different information that we would require in other cases. Details of previous addresses both home and for work, information about hobbies and pastimes that they may no longer pursue and friends that they may have lost touch with are all important in these cases.
To help us we would ask that you write down this information in advance and keep it safe so if your friend or relative is reported missing that you have all the details to hand that we might need to search for them.
This leaflet can be downloaded, printed and saved in case it is needed, giving you the piece of mind that it is there if needed.
