I am pleading not guilty – What will happen with my case at court?

If you attend court you will arrive at court and ‘book in’ at the ushers desk. You may be asked to discuss your case with a police representative before you enter the court room to assist the court in clarifying your issues. If you have documentation that you believe supports your case, this may be checked by the police representative. Following this you, when you enter court you will be asked to confirm your ‘not guilty’ plea and the courts will then seek to confirm any issues and take details of your defence. The court will then list the case for a trial which will take place at a later date.
